Challenge: How do we reach students in a compelling and interesting way to inspire them to digitally subscribe to The Guardian?

A Guardian digital subscription student benefits:
> This is an opportunity to support quality, independent journalism.
> A digital subscription is the best way to experience The Guardian’s brilliant journalism on all your devices.
>We’re offering a 20% student discount at £79 per year.

But students might not want to pay for a digital subscription because:
> You can technically access all the content for free.
> They don’t understand what a digital subscription is/ what benefits it offers. > Gen Z are the one of the least likely generations to be willing to pay for trustworthy/quality information.

We want students to…
>Think: That the Guardian is a crucial part of an open, progressive, liberal world.
>Feel: Intrigued and inspired about how to access Guardian quality journalism through a digital subscription.
>Do: Support and subscribe through a digital subscription.

Place QR Code on posters for easier access to the digital subscriptions
Create typography based posters (very ‘instagramable’ slogans) that will attract young students to take pictures of them with possible hashtag name that can be used around social media.

Q.What interesting illustrators/artists work with typography?

The Guardian Brand Identity:

First Initial idea for Poster 1. Prototype (NOT FINISHED) It will include QR code to the digital subscription website and interesting slogans. How should the slogan be placed? what more to include? keep it simple? create animation that can be placed on bus stop billboard for example?

Next: a moving image short gif which can be played around the city billboards?
